State Route 24 (SR-24) Caldecott Tunnel Alternating Overnight Closures #1, #2, #3 and #4 Bores Maintenance Work

ALAMEDA AND CONTRA COSTA COUNTIES – Caltrans has scheduled alternating closures of the number one, two, three and four bores of the State Route 24 (SR-24) Caldecott Tunnel overnight starting Monday, July 26. During the work, one bore in each direction will always remain open.
Westbound Bore #4 Closed Night on Monday, July 26:
Beginning Monday, July 26 at 10:00 PM until 4:30 AM on Tuesday, July 27, the #4 westbound bore will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work.Westbound Bore #3 Closed Night on Tuesday, July 27:
Beginning Tuesday, July 27 at 10:00 PM until 4:30 AM on Wednesday, July 28, the #3 westbound bore will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work.Eastbound Bore #2 Closed Night on Wednesday, July 28:

Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
