Reduced Lane Widths on I-80 Gilman Ramps
and Eastshore Highway from Page to Gilman Through 2023

BERKELEY— Caltrans has scheduled a temporary lane reduction for two ramps on Interstate 80 at Gilman Street offramp at Eastshore Highway in Alameda County starting July 14 through the end of 2023.

The lanes on the eastbound Gilman offramp and the westbound I-80 onramp will be narrowed to accommodate roadwork. Lane widths on Eastshore Highway from Page Street to Gilman will also be reduced. The lanes will continue to be in conformance with all safety standards.

The reduced lanes will accommodate work on a bicycle-pedestrian overcrossing Caltrans is building at the Gilman interchange as part of a project that will close a gap in the Bay Trail and enhance safety at the interchange by building a double roundabout. For more information, visit the project website.

Please drive with caution. Slow for the Cone Zone and Be Work Zone Alert. Caltrans thanks motorists for their patience while we work to maintain our state’s highways, bridges, and tunnels.
