Van Ness Construction Forecast July 5 - July 16 2021

Those traveling on the corridor are advised to stay alert and allow more travel time during construction. Polk Street, one block east of Van Ness Avenue, is a recommended alternative for people traveling by bicycle in the area.

At times, bus stops along Van Ness Avenue and its side streets need to be relocated to perform construction for the Van Ness Improvement Project. Signage directs riders to temporary stops.

Parking is currently not available on Van Ness Avenue due to construction. Drivers can find parking in private lots or on side streets. Please do not park on sidewalks or in live traffic lanes. This is dangerous and may result in citations.
 
The work listed below is scheduled for daytimes, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Planned night work is italicized. The night shift for construction is 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. During this time, neighbors are advised to anticipate construction-related noise and vibrations as crews work diligently to complete necessary night work.

In the next two weeks crews are scheduled to work on overhead power installations, traffic signal wiring and hardware installation, light pole setting and related work.
