WB-EB State Route 37 closed in both directions for overturned fuel tank

WB/EB State Route 37 closed in both directions as crews try to clear an overturned fuel tank; Motorists to expect travel delays.

SOLANO COUNTY-  Caltrans Bay Area is assisting the California Highway Patrol with a full closure WB/EB State Route 37 as the CHP is trying to clear an overturned big rig hauling fuel. 

State Route 37 is currently closed in both directions from Wilson Avenue to State Route 121 intersection. WB traffic is being diverted off onto Mare Island exit. EB traffic is being diverted to NB State Route 121. 

The traveling public can use State Route 121, State Route 12, and State Route 29 as an alternate route. 
According to the CHP, the overturned tank was reported just before 6AM and is currently blocking both lanes on WB SR-37 at Skaggs Island. 

Fuel from the overturned tanker will need to be transferred onto another carrier to allow the crews to clear the overturned big rig.

The crash investigation is being handle by the California Highway Patrol, Solano County. 
Caltrans Bay Area is assisting with the highway closure.
