US 101 Bridge Barrier Replacement Project on Various State Routes in Santa Clara County
Starting the week of June 17, 2021

SANTA CLARA- Caltrans will begin Bridge Barrier Replacement project work on Interstate 101 (US 101), at various bridge locations throughout Santa Clara County. Construction activities will include removing of existing bridge barrier and constructing of new barrier replacements. Residents will experience normal construction noise which will be monitored. Work is weather permitting. Work will begin June 17, 2021 and continue throughout the Summer of 2022.

Bridge locations include:

  • Pajero River Bridge - Santa Clara and San Benito County line.
  • Carnadero Creek Bridge – Mesa Road and Bolsa Road.
  • Route 237 and US 101 Separation bridge – Sunnyvale
  • Sargent Bridge – Old Monterey Road

One Northbound lane closed:
Monday through Friday: 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM

One Southbound lane closed:
Monday through Friday: 11:00 PM-7:00 AM

Message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time for their commute.
