#1, #2 and #3 Bores will be closed overnight

ALAMEDA AND CONTRA COSTA COUNTIES – Caltrans will alternate overnight closures of various bores of the State Route 24 (SR-24) Caldecott Tunnel beginning Monday, May 17 at 10:00 PM. This is for regular tunnel washing work. While one bore is closed, the other bores will remain open to traffic.

E/B HWY 24, Bore #1 will be closed on the following Dates & Time:
-Monday May 17, 2021. (Closed 10:00 PM - 1:00 AM)

E/B HWY 24, Bore #2 will be closed on the following Dates & Time:
-Tuesday May 18, 2021. (Closed 1:30 AM -4:30 AM)

W/B HWY 24, Bore #3 will be closed on the following Dates & Time:
-Tuesday May 18, 2021. (Closed 10:00 PM- 4:30 AM)

Traffic Control Measures:

Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
