Lane Closures on State Route 84
Between Ruby Hill Drive and I-680 through May 21, 2021
ALAMEDA COUNTY – Caltrans has scheduled to close one lane of State Route 84 between Ruby Hill Drive and Interstate 680 in the City of Sunol overnight through May 21 to accommodate construction work.
The closures will take place between the hours of 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM weekdays and 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM weekends.
The work is part of a project widening SR-84, improving on- and off-ramps and extending the existing southbound I-680 High Occupancy Vehicle/express lane northward by about two miles. The project will alleviate congestion and improve traffic circulation and safety for motorists and cyclists on this segment of SR-84.
One lane will be open during the work, and flaggers will assist motorists through the lane closure. There will be signage to guide motorists and California Highway Patrol officers will be on hand to ensure safety.
