Lane Closures on State Route 17 for Rock Fall Prevention Work Redwood Estates-Los Gatos

REDWOOD ESTATES –Caltrans will perform rock wall scaling and slope cutting to mitigate rocks falling into travel way on southbound (SB) State Route 17 (SR17), north of Summit Road, in Redwood Estates (Los Gatos), Santa Clara County. One lane will be closed for crews to safely perform rope rappelling and rock scaling. Periodically, crews will shut down lanes for
safety clearance as needed. Work is scheduled to begin February 18 and be complete February
19. California Highway Patrol will be onsite during lane closure

Schedule of work and lane closures:

Thursday, February 18, 2021 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Friday, February 19, 2021 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

During this work, motorists should expect delays as crews temporarily stop traffic to safely scale the rock slope to perform prevention work. Lane closure signs will be posted. All work is weather permitting.
