Posey And Webster Tubes (State Route 61) Full Overnight Closures
For Maintenance Work February 8-11, 2021

Alameda County — Caltrans has scheduled a full overnight closure of the State Route 61 Posey Tube February 8-9, followed by a full overnight closure of the Webster Tube February 10-11, 2021. The tubes connect the cities of Alameda and Oakland.

The Posey Tube will be closed February 8 and 9, with the closure beginning at 10 p.m. and lasting until 5 a.m. the following morning. The Webster Tube will remain open during this time.
Next, the Webster Tube will be closed February 10 and 11, with the closure beginning at 10 p.m. and lasting until 5 a.m. the following morning. The Posey Tube will remain open during this time.
The purpose of the closures is to accommodate routine maintenance work. Work will be postponed if it rains.

Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be at the sites during the closures.
