Daytime Work Begins February 8 – 26, 2021

San Mateo County - Caltrans, In Partnership With Woodside Fire Department will trim and remove selected eucalyptus trees due to safety concerns along State Route 84 (SR-84) in Woodside, San Mateo County. In order to facilitate the safe trimming and removal of selected trees, SR-84 will be closed to traffic between Portola Road and Fox Hill Road. Work will begin February 8 and end February 26. Work hours will be Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily. No work performed on holidays or weekends.

Closure Detours:

  • Traveling eastbound SR-84 (Woodside Rd), detour at Skyline Blvd (SR-35) turn right on to Kings Mountain Road and back onto SR-84 (Woodside Road).
  •  Traveling westbound SR-84 (Woodside Rd), detour at Kings Mountain Road, turn left at Skyline Blvd (SR-35) and back on to SR-84 (Woodside Rd).

Motorists are advised to watch for flaggers as traffic control will support crews on scene conducting safety assessments, tree removal, and additional fieldwork. Delays may be expected, and portable message signs will be in place to notifying motorists.

Emergency vehicles will be permitted access thru the closures as needed.
