Bicycle lane closes December 22, 2020, 9:00AM – 1:00 PM for inspection
Bicycle shuttle available during closure
Contra Costa & Marin counties - Caltrans will close the bicycle lane on the I-580 Richmond-San Rafael Bridge on December 22, 2020, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, for maintenance access and inspection of the bike lane. The bi-direction bicycle lane is on the upper deck or westbound direction of the bridge.
Caltrans will operate a bike shuttle to transport cyclists and their bikes during the closure. Pickup/drop-off stations will be located at each end of the bridge: In Richmond at the Stenmark Drive entrance to the bridge path, and in San Rafael at the Vista Point.
Caltrans staff will be stationed at each location to coordinate pickups and drop-offs with the shuttle operator.
