San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge Pedestrian-Bicycle Lane Repairs
November 2 – Late November 2020

Oakland—Caltrans is scheduled to perform repairs on a small section of the pedestrian-bicycle path on westbound Interstate 80 over the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge November 2 through late November 2020.

The path will remain open during the repairs. Flaggers will direct cyclists safely around the construction area. When the day’s construction activities cease around 4 p.m., it will again be safe for cyclists to traverse this section of the path without the necessity of guidance from flaggers.

Workers will be repairing a small section of the pavement on the path. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the work will conclude in late November.

Caltrans thanks the Bay Area’s devoted cyclists and pedestrians for their patience as we work to repair this small section of lane. Our agency is dedicated to multimodal means of transportation such as cycling, walking and public transit, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Please drive with caution. Slow for the Cone Zone and Be Work Zone Alert. Caltrans thanks motorists for their patience while we work to maintain our state’s highways, bridges, and tunnels.
