Closure of Lynch Creek Trail on September 8, 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM
To facilitate construction work

Petaluma – Caltrans will close the Lynch Creek Trail on both sides of its undercrossing of Highway 101 in Petaluma on Tuesday, September 8, between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM. The closure will allow work crews to remove concrete forms (falsework) and other equipment used to widen the freeway bridge.

The trail, which is a popular bike and pedestrian route, is located just north of the E. Washington Street interchange in Petaluma

The freeway bridge over the trail is being widened as part of a project to add carpool lanes to Highway 101 in Petaluma between Lakeville Highway (Route 116) and Corona Road.

The Petaluma project is one of 13 projects in the larger Marin Sonoma Narrows widening project that will add a carpool lane in each direction between State Route 37 in Marin and Corona Road in northern Petaluma.
