Motorists to expect lane and ramp closures on Interstate 80 near Vacaville as crews begin fire recovery from the LNU Lightning Complex
Solano County - Caltrans will begin working on making repairs along Interstate 80 (I-80) near Vacaville after the LNU Lightning Complex ripped through the area last month causing damage. The work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 lasting until mid-November, weather permitting.
Crews will remove hazardous trees, repair highway signs, drainage, and slopes. There will be nightly lane closures on the mainline I-80 and Cherry Glen Overcrossing On/Off Ramps within the project limit.
Crews will close off eastbound I-80 between Manuel Campos Parkway and Cherry Glen overcrossing left shoulder and number one lane starting at 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM. Westbound I-80 at Cherry Glen Off and On Ramps will also be closed starting 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM.
Traffic will be detoured to the following on and off ramp at Manuel Campos Parkway. Motorists should expect delays and slow down at the lane closure zones.
