Eastbound #1 and #2 Bores Two Consecutive Nights Maintenance Work
Starts Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at 9:00 PM

Alameda And Contra Costa Counties – Caltrans will temporarily close the number one and the two bores of the State Route 24 (SR-24) Caldecott Tunnel overnight during two consecutive nights starting Tuesday, July 28. All other bores will remain open to traffic.

Eastbound Bore #2 Closed Night of July 28
 Beginning Tuesday, July 28 at 9:00 PM until 12:01 AM on Wednesday, July 29, the #2 eastbound bore will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work.

Eastbound Bore #1 Closed Night of July 29
 Beginning Wednesday, July 29 at 12:45 AM until 4:00 AM on Thursday, July 30, the #1 eastbound bore will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work.

Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
