SAN FRANCISCO | PAVEMENT REPAIR AND LANE STRIPING WORK
STARTS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24 AT 10:00 PM TO MONDAY,
JUNE 29 AT 6:00 AM

SAN FRANCISCO – Caltrans has scheduled two consecutive nights of closures of the General Douglas MacArthur Tunnel  on State Route 1 (SR-1) in San Francisco for pavement repair work, conditions permitting.

Southbound SR-1 in the tunnel will be closed starting Wednesday, June 24 at 10:00 PM to Thursday, June 25 at 5:00 AM.  Northbound SR-1 will closed Thursday, June 25 at 11:00 PM to Friday, June 26 at 6:00 AM.  Please see attached detour routes.

Additionally, crews are scheduled for the final phase of lane striping in both directions on SR-1.  The roadway will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Lincoln Way and Lake Street starting Friday, June 26 at 10:00 PM to Monday, June 29 at 6:00 AM.

Once completed, residents and motorists will benefit from a safer, smoother drive.

Caltrans regrets any inconvenience and thanks everyone for their patience as we work to maintain our state’s highways, bridges and tunnels.

Motorists are advised to always drive with caution through construction zones and watch for detour signs overnight.
