Two Consecutive Nights Maintenance Work
Starts Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at 9:30 PM

Alameda and Contra Costa Counties–Caltrans will temporarily close the number one bore of the State Route 24 (SR-24) Caldecott Tunnel overnight during two consecutive nights starting Tuesday, May 26. All other bores will remain open to traffic.

Eastbound Bore #1 Closed Night of May 26
 Beginning Tuesday, May 26 at 9:30 PM until 4:30 AM on Wednesday, May 27, the #1 eastbound bore will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work.

Eastbound Bore #1 Closed Night of May 27
 Beginning Wednesday, May 27 at 9:30 PM until 4:30 AM on Thursday, May 28, the #1 eastbound bore will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work.

Traffic Control Measures:

Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
