San Francisco – Caltrans has updated tonight’s overnight closure schedule for barrier construction work on U.S. 101 over the Alemany Deck in San Francisco.

NORTHBOUND (NB) 101 will be reduced to one lane approaching Alemany starting tonight Tuesday, May 19 at 8:00 PM. This will be followed by a FULL NORTHBOUND (NB) CLOSURE at 9:00 PM.  Traffic will be detoured onto 280 and the roadway will reopen on Wednesday, May 20 at 6:00 AM.

The previous lane closure and full closure announced on SOUTHBOUND (SB) 101 approaching the Alemany Deck are NOW CANCELED.

The closure schedule for the remainder of the week will be distributed once an update is available.  Please disregard any previous announcements.  Drivers are reminded that various lane closures on southbound 101 north of Alemany between NB Vermont Street and Cesar Chavez also remain in effect.

Caltrans regrets any inconvenience as residents may experience some noise. CHP will be on-site to guide and assist motorists for the closures and detours. Drivers are advised to reduce speeds to 35 mph through the project site.  Caltrans thanks you for your patience as we work to maintain our state highways.
