Starts May 16 and Memorial Day Weekend
Alameda County—Caltrans has scheduled overnight closures of northbound Interstate 880 between Market and Union streets in Oakland for bridge work beginning May 16 and for the three nights, May 22, 23 and 24, of the Memorial Day weekend.
The bridge work will be performed overnight between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
Signs will be in place to notify motorists of the lane closures. Two detours will be in place as follows:

Motorists can choose to use I-980 or exit at Market Street and proceed straight ahead to take 6th Street and 5th Street to the Union Street onramp. See map below.
