SR-1 (Veterans Blvd) and US 101 General Douglas MacArthur Tunnel Sunday, May 3rd – Tuesday, May 5th
San Francisco – Caltrans has scheduled overnight lane and directional closures on SR-1, also known as Veterans Blvd, and US 101 inside and approaching the General Douglas MacArthur Tunnel starting Sunday, May 3rd until Tuesday, May 5th.
Crews will perform saw cutting and slab replacement work. This project is part of the current daytime grinding and paving work on SR-1 between Lincoln Way and Lake Street from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM scheduled through mid to late May to repair multiple potholes and cracks due to constant wear and tear. Once completed, residents and motorists will benefit from a safer, smoother drive.
> NB/SB SR-1 (Veterans Blvd) will be reduced to one lane in both directions inside the General Douglas MacArthur Tunnel on Sunday, May 3rd from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
> The NB/SB 101 connector to SB SR-1 (Veterans Blvd) to the General Douglas MacArthur Tunnel will be closed on Monday, May 4th from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM with detours in place.
> NB SR-1 (Park Presidio Blvd) will be closed approaching Lake Street on Tuesday, May 5th from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM with detours in place. (Please see next page) As residents should expect some construction noise, Caltrans regrets any inconvenience. The Department also advises drivers that detour routes will be in effect.
