Pacheco Pass Highway in Hollister Rock Fall
Prevention Work Starts Tuesday, March 17-18, 2020
HOLLISTER - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform rock wall scaling and slope cutting to mitigate rocks falling into travel way on Eastbound (EB) State Route (SR) 152, Pacheco Pass Highway, in the city of Hollister, Santa Clara County. One lane will be closed for crews to safely perform rope rappelling and rock scaling. Periodically, crews will shut down both EB and WB lanes for safety clearance as needed. Work is scheduled to begin March 17 and be complete March 18.
Schedule of work and lane closures:
- Tuesday, March 17, 2019 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- Wednesday, March 18, 2019 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
During this work, motorist may experience delays as crews scale the rock slope to perform prevention work. Lane closure signs will be posted. California Highway Patrol will be onsite during lane closure. All work is weather permitting.
