Alameda/Oakland - Caltrans has completed the work in the Posey Tube and will now switch to the Webster Tube to continued schedule tunnel maintenance on State Route 61 (Webster Tube) in the Cities of Alameda and Oakland, Alameda County. The work for the Wester Tube began on Monday, March 2 and will continue through May 2020, Monday through Friday from
10:00 PM until 5:00 AM. There will be no shuttle services available for the Webster Tube, because there is no pedestrian/bike access in this tunnel.
Closure Information 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM:
- Webster Tube (leading into Alameda): Full Tube Closure began March 2, 2020 until May 2020, Monday through Friday.
Traffic Controls Measures:
Changeable message signs and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Please follow posted detour information. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time for their trips. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone and Be Work Zone Alert.
