for Conn Creek Bridge Replacement Work December 4 and 9, 2019 Closure of Conn Creek Road, One-way traffic control for Silverado Trail

Napa County - Caltrans is scheduled to close Conn Creek Road between Silverado Trail and Skellenger Lane the nights of Wednesday, Dec. 4 and Monday, Dec. 9, to accommodate work on the Conn Creek Bridge replacement. Workers will be installing girders on the replacement bridge currently under construction.

One lane of SR-128/Silverado Trail will also be closed between Conn Creek Road and Sage Canyon Road. Both closures are for one night only.

The closures will take place as follows:

Close SR-128 Conn Creek Road between Silverado Trail and Skellenger Lane. Traffic will be detoured to Silverado Trail via Skellenger Lane. Local traffic only will be allowed to travel between Skellenger Lane and 8960 Conn Creek Road. The closure will be in effect starting at 7:00 PM and ending at 11:00 PM.

Close one lane of SR-128/Silverado Trail between Conn Creek Road and Sage Canyon Road. One-way reversing traffic control with flaggers will be in effect for this lane closure starting at 7:00 PM and ending at 11:00 PM.

The closures are scheduled to accommodate the installation of girders as part of the first of two stages for the Conn Creek Bridge replacement project.

Flaggers will direct motorists during temporary lane or highway closures (5-10 minutes). Motorists should expect delays.

The project is necessary because of wear and tear on the existing bridge’s foundation from the creek’s current. The new bridge will be wider to accommodate trucks turning right from eastbound SR-128 (Conn Creek Road) onto Silverado Trail.
