Full On-Ramp Closures To Repave Surfaces with Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt Starts Friday, November 15 until Sunday, November 24, 2019
Fremont/Newark - Caltrans will conduct paving operations in the Cities of Newark and Fremont, Alameda County starting Friday, November 15 through November 24, 2019, from 4:00 AM until 3:00 PM on both State Route 84 (SR-84) and Interstate 880 (I-880). There will be full on-ramp closures. These day closures are required due to the temperature restrictions for paving the new pavement using rubberized hot mix asphalt.

11/15/2019 (Friday): Westbound (WB) SR-84 at Newark Boulevard
11/16/2019 (Saturday): Southbound (SB) I-880 at Eastbound (EB) Stevenson Boulevard o SB I-880 at WB Stevenson Boulevard
11/17/2019 (Sunday): Northbound (NB) I-880 at EB Stevenson Boulevard o NB I-880 at WB Mowry Avenue
11/18/2019 (Monday) SB I-880 at EB Mowry Avenue
11/23/2019 and 11/24/2019 (Saturday & Sunday): NB I-880 at Auto Mall Parkway
Traffic Controls Measures:
Changeable message signs and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Please follow posted detour information. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time for their commute. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
