Tunnel Maintenance (Wash Water Collection) Starts Monday, November 18 until Thursday, November 21, 2019 Alameda/Oakland
Caltrans will conduct tunnel maintenance on State Route 61 (Webster and Posey Tubes) in the Cities of Alameda and Oakland, Alameda County. This work will include the collection of wash water from both tubes. The work will begin on Monday, November 18 through Thursday, November 21, 2019, from 10:00 PM until 4:30 AM. There will be full alternating tube closures.

Full Tube Closure starts Monday, November 18 until Tuesday, November 19.
Posey Tube (leading into Oakland): Full Tube Closure starts Tuesday, November 19 until Wednesday, November 20.
Posey Tube (leading into Oakland): Full Tube Closure starts Wednesday, November 20 until Thursday, November 21.
Traffic Controls Measures:
Changeable message signs and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Please follow posted detour information. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time for their commute.
