Rock Fall Prevention Work Starts Tuesday, November 12, 2019

Hollister – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform rock wall scaling and slope cutting to mitigate rocks falling into travel way on westbound (WB) SR-152, Pacheco Pass Highway, in the city of Hollister, Santa Clara County. One lane will be closed for crews to safely perform rope rappelling and rock scaling. Periodically, crews will shut down both WB and EB lanes for safety clearance as needed. Work is scheduled to begin November 12 and be complete November 13.

Schedule of work and lane closures:

Tuesday, November 12, 2019 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Wednesday, November 13, 2019 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM

During this work, motorist may experience delays as crews scale the rock slope to perform prevention work. Lane closure signs will be posted. California Highway Patrol will be onsite during lane closure. All work is weather permitting.
