Lane Re-Configuration This Weekend, Oct. 4-7
FAIRFIELD—Caltrans is scheduled to perform night work from October 4 through October 7 on westbound Interstate 80 (I-80) in Fairfield near the Cordelia truck weigh station to reconfigure lane lines for the second construction phase above the Dan Wilson Creek Bridge.
This weekend’s work entails removal of existing temporary concrete barriers currently on the right side of the bridge on Friday night, restriping/shifting traffic to the right on Saturday night, and placing temporary concrete barriers on the left side of the bridge on Sunday night.
The new lane configuration continues to provide five lanes through the construction zone. Motorists will experience a slight shift to the right as they drive through the project limits at the posted reduced speed limit of 55 mph.
The new configuration is scheduled to remain in place until late October, weather permitting.
