Nightly Full Closures for Tunnel Washing Operations

Alameda/Oakland – Caltrans will implement a full closure of the Posey Tube in Alameda/Oakland, Alameda County to perform tunnel washing operation work nightly.
Closure Information:
- Posey Tube (leading into Oakland): Nightly Full Closures starts Tuesday, September 3, from 10:00 PM until 4:30 AM, ending Friday, September 6 at 4:30 AM.
Traffic Controls Measures:
- Changeable message signs and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Please follow posted detour information.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time for their commute. Please drive with caution through the construction zone, leave a safe traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you, and Slow for the Cone Zone.
