State Route 128 Conn Creek Bridge Replacement

Temporary Overnight Single-Lane Closures July 23-27

Napa County—Caltrans has scheduled temporary overnight closures of one eastbound lane of State Route 128 (SR-128) starting the evening of Tuesday, July 23 and running through Saturday, July 27. The closures will accommodate work related to the replacement of the SR-128 Conn Creek Bridge in Napa County.

One eastbound lane on SR-128 will be closed between Sage Canyon Road and Conn Creek Road overnight, between 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 23, and 6:00 AM Wednesday, July 24. The 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM closures will continue through the morning of Friday, July 26. On Friday evening, one eastbound lane will close at 8:00 PM, re-opening at 9:00 AM Saturday, July 27.

One-way traffic control will be in effect with flaggers directing traffic. Motorists should expect delays.

It’s necessary to replace the Conn Creek Bridge because of wear and tear on the existing bridge’s foundation from the creek’s current. The new bridge will be wider to accommodate trucks turning right from eastbound SR-128 (Conn Creek Road) onto Silverado Trail.

The bulk of construction is scheduled to take place during daytime hours with bridge construction tentatively expected to be completed by the end of 2020.
