Caltrans Responds to Fourth of July Holiday Earthquakes

RIDGECREST — Moments after the ground shook violently in California over the Fourth of July holiday, Caltrans crews and its contractors went to work clearing rockslides and fixing cracked and buckled roads.

In the face of thousands of aftershocks, Caltrans worked to ensure the public was safe and aware. Crews on the ground and multiple teams around the state supported those field efforts and kept the public informed.
