Overnight Closure Eastbound #1 Bore Maintenance Work
Beginning Monday, July 19, 2021, at 10:00 PM
ALAMEDA AND CONTRA COSTA COUNTIES – Caltrans will temporarily close the number one bore of the State Route 24 (SR-24) Caldecott Tunnel overnight starting Monday, July 19. During the work, one bore in each direction will always remain open.
Eastbound Bore #1 Closed Night on Monday, July 19:
Beginning Monday, July 19 at 10:00 PM until 4:30 AM on Thursday, July 21, the #1 eastbound bore will be temporarily closed for tunnel maintenance work.
Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
