Project Facts


The project is located within the City of South Lake Tahoe (CSLT) on U.S. Highway 50 from the "Y" intersection with State Highway 89 to the Trout Creek Bridge.

Project Benefits

The project will collect and treat stormwater runoff as part of the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program (EIP). It will also widen the roadway to provide 6-foot shoulders for bike lanes, replace traffic signals, replace curb, gutter and sidewalks, and improve pavement cross slope. Caltrans is working with CSLT to incorporate improvements at Sierra Boulevard (signal and left turn lane).
