Project Facts

Description

This project is located between 14th Street and Cemetery Road in Marysville. Work includes:

  • Rehabilitating the existing roadway
  • Widening the highway to five lanes, including two-way left-turn lanes and 8-foot shoulders
  • Constructing 6-foot sidewalks and curb ramps to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act requirements
  • Replacing the existing Marysville Railroad Underpass and Binney Junction Railroad Underpass
  • Increasing multi-modal mobility and operations to meet complete streets and safe routes to school guidelines
  • Relocating the east finger levee to the east to accommodate required operational improvements

Project Benefits

This project will rehabilitate the existing roadway to reduce maintenance expenditures and improve safety, traffic operations, shoulders and vertical clearances at the Marysville and Binney Junction railroad undercrossing to facilitate goods movement, bicycle/pedestrian facilities. The project also will provide safe routes for students attending the two high schools along the highway.
