Replace existing vertical clearance gauges.

Inquiry:

  1. Can you indicate a specified approved manufacturer or supplier for the marine sign panels?
  2. Section 56-4 allows different types of expansion anchors. Shouldn't you require stainless steel expansion anchors on this project?
  3. On General Plan No. 2, Note 4 (Remove Gauge Indicator Arm) is shown on both sides of Pier 13 but Note 2 (Remove Sign Panel) is only on the downstream side. Please clarify if the upstream side has a sign panel to be removed also (and note 2 should be added).
  4. Detail A (on plan sheet 5 of 5) indicates " Install New Rubber Block" at 2 locations.
    (a) Please specify a product for the rubber block.
    (b) The detail indicates to retain existing and install new. Will the new be installed next to the existing to remain in place?
  5. What caused the spalled surface area on Pier 13?
  6. Will contractor be allowed to tie off a small barge to the existing pier fenders?
  7. How many rubber blocks (Detail A) in total are to be supplied by the contractor?
  8. Which pay item includes the rubber blocks?
  9. Gauge indicator arms - can they be 1-1/2" galvanized threaded pipe with threaded fittings (90 and cap)?
  10. How many 1/2" cable, turnbuckle and eye-bolts are to be supplied by contractor and which pay item are they in?
