Bidder Inquiry / Response

Inquiry#1:

Contract Drawing Sheet 2 of 17 calls out the solar charging station as “department furnished”.

Bid Item 35 is described as “install solar electric vehicle charging station”.

Special Provisions Section 87-10.02B specifies the manufacturer and list pricing for solar EV charging unit.

Please confirm that the Contractor is not responsible for any of the costs associated with furnishing the EV charging station.

Response:

“The EV charger is Department-furnished and is installed by the contractor.  The Contractor furnishes bolts for fastening the EV Charger to the concrete pad, casts the bolts into the concrete pad, drills the holes in the steel ballast plate, places the EV charger on the concrete pad, and tightens the nuts on the bolts to fasten the charger to the concrete pad.”
