SACRAMENTO – Work on the $511.1 million U.S. Highway 50 (US 50) Multimodal Corridor Enhancement “Fix50” Project continues with a 56-hour closure at the Stockton Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound US 50 scheduled for this weekend.
The Stockton Boulevard on-ramp to westbound US 50 will remain open.
Crews will excavate the old concrete and prepare the area for the new asphalt to be placed along the ramp before restriping and opening the ramp to traffic.

9 p.m. Friday, December 5 through 5 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2025
Suggested Detour:
- Continue north on Stockton Boulevard
- Take the Stockton Boulevard loop on-ramp to westbound US 50
- Take the off-ramp to northbound Business 80/Capital City Freeway (Exit 6C)
- Continue on Business 80/Capital City Freeway
- Take the off-ramp to N Street (Exit 7A)
- Turn left onto Capitol Avenue
- Turn left onto 29th Street
- Take the on-ramp to westbound Business 80/Capital City Freeway
- Take the connector to eastbound US 50
Caltrans reminds drivers to expect delays, stay alert when traveling through work zones and pay close attention to advance signage posted before the traffic split. Motorists are also encouraged to plan for and allow extra travel time.
The ongoing work is part of a project to rehabilitate pavement and add 14 miles of high-occupancy lanes from the US 50/Interstate 5 interchange to the US 50/Watt Avenue interchange.

Work is scheduled to begin as listed but subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, or other construction-related issues.
