The ongoing work is part of a project to rehabilitate the pavement and add 14 lane miles of high-occupancy lanes from the US 50/I-5 interchange to the US 50/ Watt Avenue interchange. Motorists traveling through the work zone should expect lane restrictions.

The work zone speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph and the California Highway Patrol will be present for traffic enforcement. For more information visit the U.S. Highway 50 Multimodal Corridor Enhancement and Rehabilitation Project on the Caltrans District 3 website.
