ORLAND — Caltrans is continuing construction on a $ 4.8 million safety projects to install a new traffic signal at the intersection of State Route 32 and County Road P in Orland.

Crews have already installed underground wiring and poured concrete for key parts of the signal system. More work is planned in the coming weeks to get everything ready for the signal poles, which are expected to arrive in September.

Drivers should expect minor delays and occasional lane closures in the area while crews are working. Caltrans reminds motorists to slow down, follow posted signs and watch for workers and equipment.

Caltrans is working closely with Glenn County and other local partners to keep the project moving safely and efficiently. The project began on April 2 and is scheduled to be completed by late September, weather permitting.
