Sacramento - Work on the U.S. Highway 50 (US-50) Multimodal Corridor Enhancement “Fix50” Project will require a 55-hour closure at the westbound U.S. Highway 50 (US-50) connector to northbound State Route 51 (Business 80) this weekend.

The closure is scheduled from Friday, February 28 at 9 p.m. through Monday, March 3 at 5 a.m.

The concrete for the bridge approach slabs will be replaced across the connector ramp.

Detour:
Continue westbound on US-50 to take the 26th Street off-ramp, turn left on 15th Street to X Street, take the 16th Street on-ramp to eastbound US-50 and then take the connector to northbound Business 80.

The ongoing work is part of a $529 million project to rehabilitate pavement and add 14 lane miles of high-occupancy lanes from the US-50/Interstate 5 interchange to the US-50/Watt Avenue interchange.

For more information on this project visit U.S. Highway 50 Multimodal Corridor Enhancement and Rehabilitation Project.

Motorists traveling through the work zone should expect lane restrictions and be aware of commercial work vehicles traveling in and out of the area. The work zone speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph and the California Highway Patrol will be present for traffic enforcement.

Work is scheduled to begin as listed but subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials, and construction related issues.
