FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sacramento County – Caltrans is advising motorists of a pavement project scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 10 along State Route 12 (SR-12) just east of State Route 160 (SR-160) near the Sacramento River Delta.

This $1.7 million project will repave SR-12 from just east of the SR-160 intersection to west of the Mokelumne River Bridge. Construction work includes cold plane, pavement repair, adding rumble strips, a lane separation system, new striping and adding a traffic control monitoring station.

One-way traffic control will be in effect during the overnight hours to limit prolonged wait times for motorists.

Primary contractor O.C. Jones and Sons Inc. will work a nightly schedule from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. Wednesday – Friday. Motorists should plan for additional travel time in advance for the expected delays of 20-25 minutes.

All work on road construction projects will be suspended on weekends and holidays. Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment or material availability, or other unexpected events.

Caltrans issues construction and road condition updates on X @CaltransDist3 and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict3.  For real-time traffic information, click on Caltrans’ QuickMap quickmap.dot.ca.gov/ or download the QuickMap app from the App Store or
