One-Way Traffic Control Ahead on State Route 49 West of Loyalton

Sierra County – Caltrans is alerting State Route 49 (SR-49) motorists to expect reversing one-way traffic control this week west of Loyalton for emergency sinkhole and culvert repairs.

Crews will be replacing a failed culvert between Filippini Road and Heriot Lane this Thursday and FridayReversing one-way traffic control will be in effect each day between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Following the installation of a new culvert and repair of the sinkhole, crews will then need to repave this segment of SR-49. Dates for the paving work have not been set. 

The schedule is subject to change due to weather, equipment or material availability, or other unexpected events.
