FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Roseville – Caltrans is alerting motorists to expect nighttime closures of the Interstate 80 (I-80) westbound on-ramp at Atlantic Street this week.

The westbound on-ramp is scheduled to be closed temporarily from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday, June 23 and Friday, June 24 for concrete and drainage work. Atlantic Street/Eureka Road motorists will be detoured along Harding Boulevard or North Sunrise Avenue to Douglas Boulevard for access to westbound I-80 during the closure. The construction schedule is subject to change based on weather, equipment availability or other unexpected events.

The work is part of a $12 million project to expand the width of the single-lane Atlantic Street/Eureka Road westbound I-80 onā€ramp to three lanes and replace the Miner’s Ravine Bridge. The project will reduce traffic backup and improve the operation of local streets and intersections.

Myers & Sons Construction of Sacramento is the prime contractor for the project, which is scheduled to be completed this summer.

Caltrans reminds motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert” and slow in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews performing these improvements. The department will issue construction updates on Twitter @CaltransDist3 and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict3. For real-time traffic, click on Caltrans' Quickmap or download the QuickMap app from the App Store or Google Play.
