Roseville – Caltrans is alerting motorists to expect overnight closures of the Interstate 80 (I-80) westbound on-ramp at Atlantic Street next week.
The westbound on-ramp is scheduled to be closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 16 for electrical work. Atlantic Street/Eureka Road motorists will be detoured along Harding Boulevard or North Sunrise Avenue to Douglas Boulevard for access to westbound I-80 during the closure. On I-80 westbound, motorists should also expect a #1 (left) lane closure on Wednesday, June 15 during the same time period. The construction schedule is subject to change based on weather, equipment availability or other unexpected events.
This $12 million project is expanding the width of the single-lane Atlantic Street/Eureka Road westbound I-80 on‐ramp to three lanes and replacing the Miner’s Ravine Bridge. The project will reduce traffic backup and improve the operation of local streets and intersections.
Caltrans reminds motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert” and slow in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews performing these improvements.
