P Street on-ramp to Interstate 5 scheduled for Weekend Closure

Sacramento – Caltrans is alerting motorists that the P Street on-ramp to southbound Interstate 5 will be closed this weekend through Monday morning.

A project to clean and paint this ramp has been scheduled. A signed detour will be in place and motorists should expect additional travel time.

SCHEDULE:

From 9 p.m. Friday Feb. 25  through  4 a.m. Monday Feb. 28

DETOUR:

1. Continue to U.S. Highway 50 West to 80 San Francisco
2. From West 80 (stay on far-right lane) take South River Road off-ramp (Exit 3)
3. From South River Road off-ramp (Exit 3) make right turn (at light signal) onto Fifth Street
4. From Fifth Street make right turn onto East 80
5. From East 80 (stay in far-right lane) take South I-5 Los Angeles (Exit 4A)

Caltrans reminds motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert” and to slowdown in construction zones for the safety of travelers and work crews. Weather or unexpected events may delay or prolong the work. The department will issue updates on Twitter @CaltransDist3 and on Facebook @CaltransDistrict3.
