For Immediate Release

Sacramento – Caltrans District 3 is planning a Virtual Open House and survey to be held between July 9–16, 2021 to inform the public about the Interstate 5 (I-5) Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plan (CMCP). Caltrans, partners, and stakeholders are working together to develop a CMCP for the I-5 corridor. The I-5 CMCP is an important planning document that will identify projects to improve travel through this corridor.

The I-5 CMCP covers approximately a 45-mile span of I-5 in Sacramento and Yolo counties and will include various modes of transportation including passenger rail, freight rail, local and express bus routes and bicycle and pedestrian facilities. The corridor is also adjacent or near facilities such as the Port of West Sacramento, Sacramento International Airport and Amtrak Sacramento Valley Station.

The I-5 CMCP website will go “Live” on July 9, 2021 and will include a Virtual Open House and public comment survey from July 9th through July 16th

Please come talk with Caltrans staff, one caller at a time, to get answers to questions about planning along the
