Yuba County – Caltrans is alerting motorists to expect traffic delays over the next three weeks when traveling on State Highway 70 just north of Marysville due to construction activities.

Motorists may expect one-way traffic control between Laurellen Road and Binney Junction from 8 p.m. tonight to 6 a.m. Friday for pavement grinding work.

After the Fourth of July holiday weekend, crews will resume overnight work with one-way traffic control as scheduled:

  • From 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 6 through Friday, July 9 for paving work.
  • From 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, July 12 through Friday, July 16 for striping work.

Motorists should allow additional travel time or use alternate routes during the roadwork.

After the paving and striping activity is completed, crews will start wrapping up work on the $61.1 million Highway 70 Simmerly Slough bridge replacement project.

Caltrans will provide construction updates on portable roadside message boards on Twitter @CaltransDist3 and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict3. Weather or unexpected events may delay or postpone work.
