NEVADA COUNTY — Scheduled maintenance work next week will temporarily close the Interstate 80 Donner Summit Safety Roadside Rest Areas (SRRA).
Crews will be re-striping parking lot pavement markings following recent crack seal work at the rest areas. I-80 motorists may expect temporary closures of the rest areas during the following periods.
- Eastbound Donner Summit Rest Area: Tuesday, May 11 from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Westbound Donner Summit Rest Area: Wednesday, May 12 from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
During the alternating Donner Summit rest area closures, the Gold Run rest areas along Interstate 80 will remain open for motorists and truckers.
