FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ROSEVILLE – Caltrans is set to begin major construction work on the Interstate 80 westbound on-ramp at Atlantic Street in Roseville on Wednesday, March 3.

The $12 million project is expanding the width of the existing single lane Atlantic Street/Eureka Road/Interstate 80 westbound on‐ramp to include three lanes and replacing the existing Miner’s Ravine Bridge to support the newly widened roadway. The project will reduce significant traffic backup and improve the operations of local streets and intersections.

For the safety of bicyclists and pedestrians, a portion of the nearby Miner’s Ravine Multi-Use Trail will be closed for construction activities between March 2021 and October 2021. A bicycle and pedestrian detour on local streets will be available during the trail closure.

Myers & Sons Construction of Sacramento is the prime contractor for the project. The project was developed in cooperation with the City of Roseville Public Works Department with funding from the State Highway Operation and Protection Program (SHOPP) Operational Improvements program. Completion is expected in Fall 2022.

Caltrans reminds motorists to Be Work Zone Alert and slow in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews performing these improvements. Weather or unexpected events may delay or prolong the work. The department will issue construction updates on Twitter @CaltransDist3 and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict3.
