FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

YOLO COUNTY — A power outage triggered by the recent storm has forced the temporary closure of the north- and southbound Interstate 5 Dunnigan Safety Roadside Rest Areas (SRRA) in Yolo County.

There is no estimated time for PG&E crews to restore power to allow Caltrans to reopen the rest areas, which are about two miles south of the Yolo-Colusa County line.

Motorists are advised the Willows (Glenn County), Maxwell (Colusa County) and Elkhorn (Sacramento County) rest areas are closed due to construction. The Caltrans rest areas in Corning (Tehama County) and at Westley (Stanislaus County) are open to motorists.

Caltrans will issue updates on Twitter @CaltransDist3 and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict3. For real-time traffic, click on Caltrans’ QuickMap or download the QuickMap app from the App Store or Google Play.
