FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SACRAMENTO COUNTY – Caltrans is alerting motorists that the Steamboat Slough bridge on State Route 160 near Courtland will be under one way traffic control next week.

Additional construction is needed to maintain and keep the bridge operational. Work will be on the spans so they can be lowered properly. The bridge remains safe for travel.

Bridgework is scheduled from Monday through Saturday, with waterway traffic still having access.

STEAMBOAT SLOUGH BRIDGE PARTIAL CLOSURE:

  • 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • December 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12

DETOUR:

The Steamboat Slough and Paintersville Bridges will not be closed at the same time. The alternate route will be the remaining bridges left open while one bridge is being worked on.

California legal trucks having a kingpin-to-rear-axle of more than 30 feet are not recommended on State Route 160.

Weather conditions could delay or cancel scheduled work. Caltrans advises motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert.”
